Our Mission
Who is Patrick's Posse and what do we do? Patrick's Posse is YOU - everybody who works in any capacity to help animals is part of the Posse. Patrick's Posse was founded by, and is administered by, Holly Higgins. The Facebook page is administered by Holly along with Amelia Latham, Cindy Demmer, and Marie Marsh, without whom the page would not be regularly updated. Our mission is a group effort by everyone interested in helping animals.
The mission of Patrick's Posse is to help animals in any way we can, in whatever capacity. We feel that it is our responsibility, as humans, to be a voice for the voiceless. The list of what we want to accomplish is by no means exhaustive, it never ends, but here are a few of the things we do:
Patrick's Posse is NOT a 501(c)3 at the time, and therefore does not solicit nor accept donations. We have, when deemed necessary, sponsored ChipIn campaigns for causes that we know are needy and reputable, and any ChipIn campaign funds go directly to the organization, not through any accounts related to Patrick's Posse.

- Networking to find homeless animals foster and permanent homes
- Advocating for stronger penalties against those who commit crimes against animals
- Promoting the good name of the American Pit Bull Terrier
- Helping people find their lost pets through networking, offering to create flyers, and providing useful information
- Educating people about shelter animals and the importance of adoption (Adopt Don't Shop!)
- Working to stop the promotion of dog fighting
- Showing non-animals lovers how animal abuse is directly related to human abuse and violent crimes
- Encouraging people to support their local no kill shelters
- Strongly opposing kill shelters and looking for solutions to the kill shelter problem
- Supporting those who are 'in the field' saving animals and caring for them
