Love is .... Standing in the yard, barefoot in pajamas, in the pouring rain because your pup is too scared to go out alone in the storm...

Meet Chance

When I saw the poor baby in the photo on the left, I immediately got into action!  I didn't know what I could do from New Jersey when Chance was in California, but I got on the phone and email and finally was put in touch with Lisa Lowe, who, God bless her, had already committed herself to have Chance pulled from death row.  Chance is now happily thriving, as you can see from the photo on the right,  You can visit Chance's Facebook page, "Chances for Chance."

Cocoa Rescued - alas, she lost her home due to divorce...

Cocoa, a dear girl, through no fault of her own, was adopted and returned to the shelter twice, and because it was a kill shelter, her days were limited. Cocoa is a perfect example of a Facebook success.  A women in Great Britain - our own Marie Marsh - championed Cocoa's cause, and through Facebook networking, Cocoa was placed in what was believed to be her Forever Home.  Cocoa is once again available for adoption.  You can read about Cocoa on her Facebook page, Rescue Cocoa.

Stella's Story

I came across Stella not on Facebook, but by seeing a flyer posted at a local deli.  I was impelled to call her family and offer to help by posting on Facebook pages.  What an amazing show of humanity was demonstrated during the search for Stella - many people who never before knew each turned up in literally pouring rain to search in the dank, buggy woods for this pup.  Others printed her flyers they saw on Facebook and handed them out. Some took to the phone calling local vets.  Somebody saw Stella's flyer and called her family.  Stella is now safely and happily home with her much relieved and happy family.

Paige's Long Wait is OVER!!

Paige was at the Monmouth County SPCA for a very long time.  Everybody just loved Paige, but she was being passed over by potential adopters.  She is an 'only pet' and a Pit Bull, which may have made people deem her as a less attractive family member.  Nothing could be further from the truth, and finally a lucky family took her home to her Happily Ever After!

Paige will definitely be missed at the shelter, but everybody is delighted that she finally has the forever loving home that a delightful girl like her deserves.
